Where is your evidence to support your claim it "definitely seems racially motivated"? The bank has been named, the laws of defamation apply. Can you prove your assertion, bearing in mind the OP's wife's experience is consistent with that experienced by many other posters on the forum?OceanSound wrote: »From what’s happened it definitely seems racially motivated. contact your Member of Parliament. Contact Citizens Advice Bureau. Contact Santander via Facebook/twitter and ask why they are asking your pregnant wife what she bought from a pram shop. Speak to local/national media. Sure they will be interested.
You are also assuming the bank knows the OP's wife is pregnant. Is that the case? Did the person have access to that information when asking about what was purchased?
The correct route for the OP's wife to follow is to make a complaint to the bank and follow that through with the FOS if there is no satisfactory outcome.
Going to the media at this stage claiming racial discrimination risks making the OP's wife look very foolish, and as such is very poor advice."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0
