Travel Insurance for Iraqi Kurdistan

Long term followup.
By the time I got around to booking, firstallied had stopped offering that product. I went with High Risk Voyager. http://www.voyagerinsurance.com/high-risk-voyager/ The cover is more expensive than the First Allied insurance was, and isn't as good. However, the High Risk Voyager insurance has the advantage that it still exists.
Having completed my trip, I can understand budget travellers taking a risk and not going for extremely expensive insurance for a safe destination. But, I don't do that, so the insurance company has a tidy profit from me.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I do not condone travelling without insurance. I'm just saying that I think I can understand the thought processes of those who do in this case.0
