anything else aprt frpom SSP

A friend of mine has been off work since may due to back problems, she is in receipt now of Stat sick pay, is there anything else she may be able to claim as she is finding it difficult to manage.

    She is married, hisband is working but not earning much, no young children, has a mortgage

    Assuming her husband is working full time, they are unlikely to get anything, except possibly some tax credits if he is on a very low wage.

    If you put some figures into www.entitledto.co.uk, this will give you an estimate of any entitlement x

    SSP's payable for a max of 28 weeks, so the employer should be issuing a form SSP1 about now (at week 23 actually), which will be needed to claim IB from week 29.
    If payable, IB will be at the same rate as SSP- £72.55pw.
