GATSO Speeding Tickets

How long do speeding tickets from GATSO cameras take to come through the post, also what is the time limit as I'm sure I heard once that it is 14 days.
Just that I think I may of gone through one at an indicated 38mph in a 30 zone but this was 23 days ago and nothing has come through the post yet.
Never noticed any flash although it was a bright day.

As long as your the Registered Keeper you can sleep at night.
Within fourteen days to the RK is the requirement.0 -
If it was one of the old film type cameras I believe they no longer work due to their high maintenance costs, and the fact that all revenue now does to the treasury not the local police, But they are left in place as a deterrent.
Old film type:
The new digital ones are switched on but are again are so expensive you don't see so many.

It was a Gatso one as per the first photo. It's been there for years as far back as I can remember.
Also if my speedo was saying 38mph then I was probably doing less in real terms and I've read you are safe up to 35mph.0 -
Speedometers always read fast up to 10% I believe, you are highly unlikely to hear anything.
No point in worrying about it anyway.0 -
35Mph is on the threshhold of the "NPCC enforcement" and your not "safe" persay at going through a speed camera at 35Mph infact your likely to be flashed at this speed. NPCC guidance infact states prosecution shall start at that limit http://library.college.police.uk/docs/appref/ACPO-Speed-Enforcement-Guidance.pdfDeleted_User wrote: »It was a Gatso one as per the first photo. You are technically safe to 32Mph where the tollerances for the devices is taken into account.
In my area through freedom of information act request by my local rag, only 2 gatso's remain active, out of 12, they wont disclose which ones in which area's are live, many are in "mimmick" mode and some are removed through vandalism. it was cited that the costs associated with Gatso's are somewhat burdonsome, and some had become targets of regular vandalism and on that basis they no longer replaced it after it got tore out and set on fire, The concrete pad and electrical supply is all that remains in the brambles and secondry markers on the road in the 2009 google earth picture https://i.imgur.com/cI3AwuF.png0
