Virgin contract date confusion

I renewed my VM contract on 19/8, and with the increase I negotiated a discount to cancel the rise out, on 1/10...which hasn't been applied, but that's another tale

Anyway, my online contract says contract started 19/8/18, yet at the top it says "your agreement started on 1 October 2018". So when is my 12 months up? August or October?

    october.

Did you ring up on 1st october to complain? and they have tried to fix it and started a new contract?
  • If you re-negotiated on 01/10/18 to get a further discount then you agreed to a new deal (12 months?) at that time.
  • Ok cheers. Thought so, just annoying the price went up 6 weeks after contract negotiation and in the process of getting it cancelled out I'm stuck with a fresh contract.
