Paying the dealer for a brand new car through online bank transfer

If they are that desperate for you to pay in November they there must be a benefit to them.
Say you want to go down the finance route or they give you a incentive of say £1000 for you to give them the money a week early. As has been stated its about getting the car registered that month.
Also say that if you are picking the car up in December you do not want the car registered until December which means not before 01 December! Other wise you loose a month of Tax! I know its not much but its the point!
Just looked at the finance and if you take it you can get 5 years servicing for £5993.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -

This is the first time I am buying a brand new car (cash). It's a CRV.
Paid the booking amount of £500 through credit card. Delivery expected next month. Dealer have suggested that once the delivery date is confirmed, that I pay the remaining pending amount of more than £30000 through bank transfer.
My question is why 1 week before and not on the day of delivery. What if the dealer goes bust? What if the delivery gets delayed. They have provided me the sort code and bank account number of the dealership.
I believe there are transfer limits for online transfer.
Do they normally provide the registration plate details beforehand so that I can arrange insurance for the car before I drive off?
Sorry first time new car buyer and got anxious after coming back from the dealership this evening.
Thank you
Just a pointer re my bold to your post if by paying the deposit on your CC you are hoping to rely on S75.
You are not covered under S75 as the total price for the car exceeds the £30000 limit.

Thank you so much all for the useful replies. Makes me less anxious. Might suggest to them that I pay by debit card on the day of handover, or CHAPS transfer/faster payment on the day. I didn't realize that I will save one month's tax, and that there should not be a problem paying on the day.0

Sorry, can they still apply to the DVLA for registration even when I have not paid the full amount beforehand. I thought that I would be given the registration plate number beforehand to arrange insurance. Thank you very much.0

The last 4 times I have purchased a new car I was given a list of around 30 plates in a A4 note book used by the garage for allocation purposes. I think the garage arranges the allocation in bulk.
eg:
BB18 XYZ, BB18 ABC, BB18 ABD, BB18 ABE,
The plate is then registered to the car before you pick it up.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
Thank you all. Just checked with the bank. They said I can pay by debit card any amount as long as the money is in the bank. I just have to warn them that I am making a big transaction. I hope the dealership are going to be okay with me making the payment on the handover day by debit card. I hope they wouldn't insist that I pay before the car is delivered to them. The car is not in stock, it's on order as it's a very new model. I wish there was some official guidance out for first time new car buyers like me. Thank you very much.0

Not sure it would cover this question but it could be helpful if you were not sure.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
I paid using debit card after the car had been delivered to me and I had inspected it.0
