Purchase via a private sale advice.
Hi, am off to look at a second hand car from a private seller, car is up for £12,500.
It's been awhile since I've purchased via a private seller so was wondering if you have any advice please.
Am guessing for money that an online faster payment transfer is the safest ?
Also what's the best hpi search to use please.
Am taking my dad for a second opinion as he's pretty eagle eye' d on cars and I be already had the same spec and model of car am off to look at so can compare like for like.

best go with HPI but do ALL the checks prior to purchase if not you will not benefit from the financial protection.0

I see, never knew that but noticed that auto trader do a check for £15 that'll cover data costs to £30,000 or vehicle sale price which ever is the lowest amount.
Is a certain hip better then others as in company to use ?0 -
The Autotrader check maybe cheaper but it doesnt offer the full check that the dearer HPI option covers like cover for a cloned vehicle.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Do you ha e a recommendation of the hip to use please ?0

When you use HPI you MUST ensure that the identity of the vehicle is correct. The HPI guarantee covers only the VIN/VRM combination stated on the V5, which you must have confirmed with them, and you must buy the car from the sellers address, and confirm the identity of the seller.
If the car later turns out to be a ringer they won't pay out, even if the V5 was issued by Swansea.
I'm afraid I don't trust anyone enough to give them £12,500.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)
