Can anyone help me.
My car engine has seized and will be to expensive to repair, unfortunately I still have outstanding credit on the car.
So the question is if I want to trade my car in on a srappage deal:
1. Does the car need to be running?
2. Will the garage pay off any outstanding credit out of the scrappage money?
ie, if I owe £2000 and the garage is offering £5000 pounds scrappage deal, they pay off the debt and just give you £3000 off the car price.
Thanks in advance...

No always. I got £4,000 for a car worth £100. Had at least 10 quote for cash only deal than asked to take off £4,000 VW Group scrappage. Most dealers refused or cut the cash deal but the lowest cash deal allowed another £4,000 off the price.0
