Bus lane - fine

Just received a letter today, my daughter has a bus lane fine, in Birmingham, we are in Leeds.
Just realised, she has a black box fitted, by her insurance company.
So that will record if she was in Birminghanon that morning.
What level of proof is needed to overcome the council fine?
Do we need a letter from insurance company, how to fill the form in?
"The alledged contravention did not occur"?

PePipoo is the place to go for a council ticket

This forum is for private tickets

You will have to upload the ticket - all sides - for them to view

Was she in Birmingham on the day in question? If not then it's probably an ANPR mis-read rather than a cloned plate (which I expect would be your next question).

But as said above, Pepipoo is the place for this.

She says not, and she only passed her test this year, so she is probably telling the truth.

When signing up to Pepipoo, note that a Hotmail email address will not work.

The photo shows what looks like the same car, black Peugeot, but you would have thought they would give a more zoomed image of the number plate.
  • Can you ask the council for CCTV proof? I would speak to the insurance company to see if you can get accurate GPS for the car that day, just explaining what was going on. See if she can get location history on her phone too
