Anyone use their GP online services?

I can access systemonline - all I can do is book a telephone appointment & Oder prescriptions. Never tried to look for anything else. I'll be needing to use it every month now as my Dr has decided to issue my meds for the next 12 months before my next review, but it's not on a repeat prescription like the 6 months ones - I now have to order it every month. Bizarre.0

I have systmonline too.
My Surgery doesn't allow access to records/results by default, it has to be requested.
It is limited to coded entries about appointments and blood test results. No Hospital letters etc.0 -
Sorry i bothered now, can view nothing other than order prescriptions and at present no appointment bookings can be made online, very poor.0

My GP uses an online system.
The only things you can do is order repeat prescriptions and book a single appointment.
The appointment system is a pain. I have to book a blood test and the follow up appointment but end up ringing up to do them as you can't book the second appt until the first has cleared off your record.
TBH the system is a waste of space.0 -
Most surgeries use systemonline.I use it to make doctor appointments and order prescriptions online that go direct to a designated pharmacy.0

In this area, Greater Manchester, the default seems to be EMIS' PatientAccess. It may be called something else from the practice end! It can be used as Tallaght describes also, as well as messaging the practice.0

That's what my surgery use but I think they are technophobic. They only set it up for the bare minimum of functionality which doesn't really achieve the aim of reducing calls about booking or results.0 -

Same area but i get 2 options, the one you say is one of them which i went for.0 -
I should have added to my post #17. Practices can decide the level of functionality to allow on the service eg the could disallow appointments, messaging, repeat prescriptions as they see fit. It seems to go against the ethos of online access, but GP Practices have rarely been at the forefront of technology.0

I'd quite like to be able to make appointments online but apparently you need to visit the GP surgery in person to register first and as they're closed by the time I get home from work it's not worth making a special trip for.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
