I use the online services all the time. Mainly to book/cancel appointments, order medication and have a detailed look at blood test results. (I get tested every 3 months)

I use the online services all the time. It is very handy as you could see the results of all their tests. I can also view reports from different outpatient clinics I have attended. I think there are some restrictions of what you can view.

It depends on the surgery, what system they use and what they let the patient see. All I can do online with mine is order repeat prescriptions and make appointments (though not all available appts are on the system). I can't see test results nor anything else at all. In the previous system they used, you could see dates of vaccinations. Never been able to access test results etc on either system.

Same here, they don't even have the messaging option switched on.

I can view test results, vaccination records, some notes, request medication and book appointments.

The system used is systmonline (I don't know if there are different ones). Viewing test results can be a faff though as you can only put in a fairly narrow date range - I think it's about a month. So if I want to look at results from a few years ago I have to do several searches going back a few weeks at a time.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Thats not good then as our surgery is a bit behind the times i would say, being a very small building with not many facilites so to speak.

Sounds like these systems need updating.

Mine is absolutely rubbish - used it to order a repeat prescription. I have to wait 48 hours for it - so I go in two days later and... they have no record of it, and couldn't write me one that day. I had to re-arrange my nurse coming to give me an injection, as she was due to arrive about 2 hours later.

That said, last week they managed to book me into 'the wrong system' when I made an appointment by phone to have blood tests done. After checking in with their little screen, I sat and waited and waited... and then went to reception who said they had no record of my appointment.

I'm very tech-savvy and my partner actually does IT for the NHS - and he's constantly shocked by their awful system.

Yes, I know I should change GP!

Just signed up, had a choice of two online services. The one i have chose is very basic and nothing to view regarding test results, not even a slot available to book a appointment.
Not sure if the other system i could of signed up to would have more information about test results to view?

I find it a lot easier to make appointments online and you are given a choice of various doctors.Trying to phone them can be a nightmare.
