Uc help please

I been on uc for about a year. I statred a new job in September..worked the whole of September and I left the job at end of September. So September wages was paid in October..so my uc payment in October was zero.
Now this month I received another 80 pounds from my previous employer as they had underpaid me..now will I still recieve my uc this month..I am really worried as UC might think I am working and not pay me this month when I am not working..
I usually get personal allowance and housing elements from uc
Any help would be nice

Have you informed UC via your journal that this job ended in September? You need to do so.

They have real time information from HMRC about your earnings hence why you received no UC in October.

They will also know about your payment in November as your claim is kept open and this will be counted as income against your UC entitlement.

Personally I would just update your journal with the information including your pay (the underpayment) for this month.

Yeha I did inform them as soon as my job ended..
I even went saw my work coach after that.
Now that I got 80 pounds from my previous employer..will I still get my uc this month..? That's what I am worried about..they will think I am working when I am not..
  • As I understand it they take off your earnings £1 for £1, saying that £80 might not affect it. Just declare it on the journal and ask them.
  • Not £1 for £1, every £1 you earn reduces your UC by 63p, so you are still entitled to some UC
