Greys and browns - carpet/walls

Another - 'what colour' question here!

Unlike some people, I am absolutely rubbish at picturing colours, room layouts or things like that in my mind - I have to see it.

we have a carpet similar to this...

Its largely browns with some grey.

Currently got Dulux 'muddy puddle' on the wall which matches one of the stripes but I was wondering if a grey paint that matches the grey stripe would look OK or wrong.
I realise its all subjective but greys and browns together - opinions?

IMO brown and grey don't go together but brown and blue do (as in your example)

I'd go with a soft duck egg blue with that carpet to brighten up the room. Nothing too heavy.
