Chemist Direct hacked - your logins taken

FYI, I have received a blackmail email seeking money. In this it correctly reveals my password for login to Chemist Direct. It was sent to a unique email address I use for that company.

I contacted CD and was advised that they knew about some spam emails and that they had been compromised. They said no personal details other than logins had not been taken. They promised an explanatory email to all users, but that has not been forthcoming.
If you use CD and the password you have is the same as for other sites. Change the others first especially if they are banks etc. as these stolen details are often sold on. Then change your CD password to something different.

It would be nice if CD had the decency to email its customers. Another company I will no longer use.

Sounds very similar to what happened with Superdrug in the Summer. I no longer shop with them either.

And make sure they are all different in future. Can't stress this enough. I know it's been said many times before but people are obviously still doing it.
