Indigo fine

Hi everyone.
I recently parked in a poorly marked hatched area in a railway car park patrolled by Indigo and was fined. I used to work for the railway company (not the parking company) and genuinely believed this was a legitimate space and had parked there many times before without receiving a ticket.
When I received the ticket I immediately went on to the appeals web site and filled in the details and explained that it looks like a space and wouldn’t park there in future.
They have responded and obviously upheld their initial decision.
I know there are MANY mistakes on my part here including appealing too soon and using their web site as well as admitting I parked there. I was unaware of this web site and foolishly believed Indigo were reasonable people.
I was put on to this site by a friend of mine after I had sent the appeal otherwise I would have followed the newbie post and that would have been the end of it.
Am I doomed to pay the fine now or is there some way out?
Many thanks

Do a forum search on keywords 'Indigo Station', read recent threads (last 3 months or so) and follow advice there. We cannot keep typing the same standard advice, day in, day out, about the same old stuff. There's nothing new (or specific to your case) to say.
HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:
Hit your 'Back' button to get back to the forum thread list. On the bar just above the threads you'll see the 'Search' function. Click on the 'Advanced Search' button and on the following page place your keyword(s) in the 'Search By Keyword(s)' and make sure the 'Show Results As' button (at the foot of the window) is changed from 'Threads' to 'Posts'.
No/Yes/it is most certainly not a 'fine'.Am I doomed to pay the fine now or is there some way out? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
