Civil Enforcement LTD - County Court Claim

Hi Guys,

First off i'm not sure whether or not i've posted this in the right place, so apologies in advance if not.

I'm writing in regards to a County Court Claims form I've received in relation to a private car park charge apparently from november 2017.

I had no previous knowledge of a fine, I live in a block of flats and our postboxes are constantly broken into, so this is the first time i've been made aware of it.

Following advice i've read online, i've acknowledged the claim, but left the defence section blank, to hopefully give me some more time to get a defence together.

I've read numerous newbie threads with defence letters etc, but to be completely honest its all a bit overwhelming and i'm confused?

I wasn't driving the vehicle at the time, i am just the registered keeper. the claim form states I was in the car park from 7.23 until 8,47pm, I have since visited the car park and noticed signs that state no stay longer than 40 minutes otherwise you will be fined £100.

What do I do about this? at most i'm willing to pay £100 for the drivers error, however I feel its very unfair to now try and charge me nearly £300. Also its taken me years to get my credit rating back up due to stupid store cards etc when I was younger and i really would like to avoid a CCJ at all costs.

Apologies for repeating what has essentially been said on this forum loads of times, I'm just so confused!

Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

You need to post in the right forum, I also have the same company pursuing a member of the family.

But as you have received CCC you need to urgently read the newbie section on the right forum and start your own thread.

You will need to include the date of the CCC as they will advise on the AOS.

You will not pay £300 plus and CEL it appears hardly ever turn up and use the courts as another debt collection agency.
