I bought myself a pendant online just over two weeks ago online, payed by paypal (not ebay), it was dispatched RoyalMail48 Tracked(with signature) the tracking for the last 10 days has not been updated just saying 'we have your item, its on its way' contacted the retailer who has informed me its not a guaranteed service and to try and sort it with Royal Mail, rang Royal Mail who says they cant offer an explanation on whats happened, but the retailer can make a compensation claim against them. The retailer has informed me that after 28 days they will indeed claim with Royal Mail and when they are compensated they will refund me this could take 8-12 weeks!!!!
So im nearly £100 down, no item and a possible 3 month wait for a refund!
I wont be doing anymore shopping online!!

Inform the retailer that you're cancelling the contract with them and they have 14 days to refund you. When or if they get compensation from RM is nothing to do with you.0

Just open a claim through paypal for non delivery. they will refund a lot quicker.0

Yes. Paypal is a payment mechanism, not an Ebay payment mechanism. (Ebay used to own Paypal but they don't any more).0

Thankyou! I shall give it a go!
Open an INR (item not received case) and watch for the date you can 'escalate' it. You need to adhere to their timescales but as soon as you can escalate you should. Then the seller will need to provide tracking showing it is delivered - or you will be refunded. Do not close the case under any circumstances as you cannot reopen it.0 -

Thankyou for the advice, do I have to wait 28 days or until Royal Mail declare it lost, im trying to search for answers on paypal but it just says expected delivery date and one wasn't specified?0 -

Try opening a claim as it will soon tell you if it's too early.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
