Hi I have today received a Premier Park pcn. I have had a good read on the threads and still confused on action.
I went to do an online appeal and it requires title name and surname to proceed. Also my email has my first name in is this ok?
We were there 10 minutes exactly? How do I find the grace period of this car park. It is a private car park which they obviously manage so no options to pay to park there.
Very stressed with all this and don't want to pay if I can avoid it.
Please help

Edit your post NOW to remove information about who parked!
Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
Parking scammers read these fora.
Once you have done that, send the appeal template from the keeper you will find in post 1 of the NEWBIES without editing it.
Of course The Keeper needs to put their name and address in the appeal just like the NEWBIES tells you.
If/when your appeal is rejected, construct your daft PoPLA appeal using all the template pints from post 3 of the NEWBIES that are relevant. You don't need to know the car park grace period, you need to quote the TWO grace periods from the BPA CoP.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Forget "the car never actually was parked"

You were parked! There is no requirement placed on a private car park to provide parking outside of their terms and conditions - sorry, but that's the way it is now!My situation was I never actually parked there we pulled into the car park as our baby was sick every where and I ran into local shop to buy wipes to clean her up. My partner and kids remained in the car.
You won't find anything specifically for a particular car park, but (if this was Premier Park Ltd - please confirm as there are others similarly named) the BPA Code of Practice covers Grace Periods, so you need to read up on those. We were there 10 minutes exactly? How do I find the grace period of this car park.

But Grace Periods are not designed for a bit of quick parking to sort out an emergency, they are there for the driver to read signs, decide if to stay or leave, and a period of time to exit the car park. That's why we tell people that mitigating circumstances are irrelevant - so you need to work your way around how Grace Periods might help you.
Please do confirm the precise name of the PPC.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

How do I edit my original post? I can barely find my way around this forum.
Ahh I have done it thanks0 -
Hi guys so I sent the template appeal and they have sent this back no popla code. What do i do now? Request a code or ignore them until they send one...
There response had to leave links out as my post couldn't contain them...
We write to acknowledge receipt of your recent online appeal, on behalf of the driver, appealing against the issuing of a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) to the vehicle.
We note your comments and must refer you to the Protection of Freedoms Act (PoFA) 2012, Schedule 4 - Recovery of unpaid Parking Charges.
We must therefore request that the details of the driver of the vehicle at the time of the contravention are supplied; this must include their full name and serviceable UK postal address.! If you are unwilling or unable to provide these details the registered keeper of this vehicle will remain liable for this PCN.! This information should be provided by 14th December 2018.! Please note, Premier Park Limited will not reply to any correspondence until after the above date, if the requested information
If we do not receive this information by the date given, the registered keeper of the vehicle at the date of event will be held liable.
If you would like to view our photographic evidence, please visit...
Please respond by return or by filling in the Transfer of Liability form on the reverse of the PCN and posting it to Premier Park, PO Box 624, Exeter, EX1 9JG0 -
Very stressed with all this and don't want to pay if I can avoid it.
You need to calm down, this is a very small deal indeed. Even if you committed every error in the book, the most you would be liable for is unlikely to exceed £200. However, it is a scam, judges know it is a scam, so the chances of the PPC taking you to court and winning are slim.
However, it is not painting by numbers, and you will be expected to put in some hours of reading and research. Be under no illusion, the car was parked and you did not pay for that privilege. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Lolly, ignore that letter.
It is just a letter fishing for the driver's details. Ignore it.
Wait patiently and your appeal will be rejected and the rejection letter/email will contain a PoPLA code.0 -
Great thanks for your help. I am reading up on the newbies section it just all sounds foreign to me in terms of understanding. I will ignore there response and await my next letter or email.0
