I edited the list in post #4 earlier to include:

• Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
  
• Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of [URL="https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread[/URL] to find out exactly what to do with it.

It seems the OP received the DQ a month after submitting the defence (Posts 64 and 65).

But here it states (post 68):

You wait for the DQ from the court and this is how you fill it out. If the DQ does not arrive within a week, check with the court.

I'll check with the court next week on the 11th re DQ and if they have updated the MCOL to say defended.

Yes but in that thread you have quoted from the OP had already sent his Defence a month previous.

The Claimant has twenty-eight days after receiving your Defence to notify the court if he wishes to continue. It is not until after that point that the CCBC will send out DQs, but of course you now realise that the Claimant will probably send you a copy of their completed DQ very quickly just to keep the pressure on you.

Leave it until after Christmas before worrying about your Directions Questionnaire.

Hi All,

I have a court date for the end of November and I waited to see if Gladstones pay the court fee to proceed to court before proceeding with the next steps (they have).

As I prepare my WS - I just want to confirm if I need to send the court and GS a copy of the defence with the document pack?

So the pack will contain:
Witness Statement
Index
Prior defence
Evidence / Exhibits
Schedule of Costs

As your defence has already been submitted, you don't send it again. Just make sure you take a copy for you on the day.

Yes, it's taking such a long time - maybe my local court Bromley are very busy?

Can someone please help with the WS? I don't want to paste it back and forth here.

I need help with the relevant case laws and sections that apply to my case. It also seems to me that defending as a keeper limits you compared to defending as a driver. I have provided theoretical statements that if I was the driver the charge would not have applied due to the various items in my defence.

A witness statement (WS) is personal to you so no one can write it for you. It is in support of your defence that you have already filed. It should be a narrative, i.e. the story of what happened on the day and subsequently, written in the first person. It should reference any evidence that you are going to supply by using something like your initials and a number, such as CM101_001, CM101_002 etc. There is help in the NEWBIE sticky post #2 with examples of WSs so you can see the format and style.

If you post in on the forum when you have competed it, it will be reviewed.
