It mentions if a brit moves to Europe for 3 years and returns his/her credit score starts clean is that true?

It also mentions "In the UK, a consumer’s credit report is held for three years"?

Anyone elaborate?

  • All wrong.

You don’t have a credit score. No one does.

You have credit history, which is valid for 6 years and will remain indefinitely until and account is defaulted or closed.

So, after 6 years it gets refreshed automatically without you doing anything?

That depends on what action the creditor has taken in the 6 year period.

Instead of cryptic questions how about telling the actual story.....which I suspect involves running from your debts.

Accounts will remain on your credit files for six years from the date that they are closed or defaulted.
County Court Judgements for debt will remain on the credit files for six years from the date of judgement. If you default an account the creditor may or may not go for a ccj. In any case this will not be immediate and may be up to six years after the initial default date
Creditors may also take some time to actually default and account from when you stop paying.
If you are planning to run away from your debts you should plan to remain away perhaps for 13 years.

That's if there still in business in 6 years :)

    There is no story.

How can you run from debt when money is created out of thin air with nothing backing it?

    Why 13 years?
