T-Roc versus Ateca
Comments

Both are VAG cars so I imagine fairly identical inside...
The Ateca looks nicer IMHO0 -
don't forget to consider the Karoq and the Kodiaq - Likely similar priced too.
LM290 -
If you've got long legs the Kodiaq is great.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Thanks very much to everyone. A friend at work recommended the Kodiaq too so it sounds like it’s worth checking out!0

The kodiaq is bigger then the your original 2 choices, the skoda equivalent is the Karoq ( i think)0

If you have done plenty of research, are confident VAG have finally developed a TSi engine without inherent design flaws and the DSG gearbox in the car will be fault free, drive them all and see which you prefer.
Check delivery times. For a new vehicle 12+ weeks isn't unusual.
If you have any doubts about engines and gearboxes reliability look at other manufacturers.0 -
Thanks again, everyone. On the issue of size, that confused me too when comparing cars. For example, I’m told the T-Roc is effectively a Golf SUV and an Ateca a Leon SUV, so they should be the like-for-like comparison. But then I’ve also been told that the Ateca is Seat’s version of the bigger Tiguan not the T-Roc. Seems to me that all the cars cross over with more than just one and so a consistent like-for-like comparison is hard to achieve!0

Don't forget the VW T-Cross.0

I would say the Seat Arona is more equivalent to the T-Roc, whereas the Ateca shares the same base with the Tiguan. Thanks again, everyone. A Ateca is equal to a Tiguan
A T-Roc is equal to a Arona
On that basis look for Aronas and Karoqs which are the equal stable mates0
