Amazon Fire Stick Downloading Kodi

I am proposing shortly to purchase an Amazon Fire stick (probably on Black Friday as they might be cheaper). I understand that it might be advantageous to download on to it something called Kodi. Is it easy to do and what are the advantages.

Kodi is a media organiser piece of software, basically you can play all your music and videos through it and also various internet streams of TV networks with varying degrees of legality shall we say.

The Firestick is just effectively an Android device in different packaging, skinned in such a way to hide its roots, I think the Stick runs Android 5.

I installed the NoLimits Magic Lite mod on my Fire TV Stick. (If you're wanting to use it for what I expect you want to use it for , then you'll either need to manually install addons - or install a mod that simplifies it all for you).

if you want kodi don't use a firestick as contains too much amazon bloat. raspberry pi a better option imo

Amazon Fire sticks are fine for Kodi. Just make sure you install addons manually and do not use one of the many bloated builds. I too am waiting for the Black Friday deals before getting more sticks.

I've had Kodi for years on fire stick and android box but to be honest, I've not used it for ages as it's just too much of a faff.

It needs constant tweaking as addons come and go and my wife never got to grips with it as it's not as simple as bringing up a TV guide and selecting a channel.

It's ok to play with if you enjoy tech fiddling but it's not a replacement for usual telly.

The mod I listed earlier seems to get regular-enough updates to ensure the "lists" are kept up to date.

And the interface is quite intuitive ... it's easy to find films and TV shows legal streaming content.

What extra would I get if I downloaded Kodi onto my Amazon Fire stick. I understand it is a legal site. Is that correct.

Kodi is not illegal

It's use to facilitate watching streaming paid for content without paying is illegal
