LED flickering / struggles to come on?

So I've read a lot about it, but not much of it applies to me?
It's a new build, just in my hall way (not communal hallway)
3-4 LEDs (not sure if dimmable or non dimmable)
Normal light switches, so basically it's just on or off.
All other rooms are fine.
Not sure what's the problem, as the most common problem with LEDs was:
non dimmable LEDs x dimmable light switch
It has rained quite a bit recently, should I be worried about a leak?
Or is it something more simpler?
Anything else you guys suggest I check?
Thanks

Is it an LED fitting which would be sealed or just an LED Lamp (bulb) in a standard fitting? Either way it is likely to be the lamp or the fitting which is faulty.
If it has a removable lamp change it over and see if this fixes the problem, they are cheap enough to make it worth a punt
What's above the hall to make you think you may have a leak? Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0 -
It's one of them GU10 looking LED, I guess that's what you mean by sealed?
It's all 3-4 LEDs simultaneously not working, do you think I should still try and change them all? Or do you mean something else?
My flat is connected to a building higher than mine, but mine is basically just the roof above me. And since it has been raining pretty heavily, I just thought that was another possibility to consider..
Any other suggestions you think I should try?
Thanks0 -
sealed bulbs are fully integrated units . If yours look like a GU10 then its not sealed unit.
I would suggest replacing the bulbs with a new one and see what happens. There was a lot of very poor quality LED bulbs and it is reasonable to assume the room was supplied with poor quality ones in the past.0 -
As its all of the bulbs, could it not be a wiring fault at the switch?0

Are they GU10 or low voltage MR16?
If MR16 it could be a dodgy transformer.
For either it could be faulty wiring/ lose connection.
It could be 3 (or is it 4) duff bulbs.
I've had no problems with GU10's from Poundland.
A bit more info if possible?0 -
Do you have similar lamps elsewhere in the flat, or in the common parts of the block? If so swap them over as a test.
If you need to buy new lamps you may need to buy fire rated ones; if not Wilko GU10 LEDs are decent.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thanks for all the insights and questions.
Then it's not sealed, though I'm not sure if its GU10 or MR16, I will double check tonight including how many lights I have up there
They do both flickering, and worse case scenario - flickers and doesn't come on. I will then have to switch it off, go to the other switch and try to turn it on, which also flickers but higher chance to switch on.
Both switches have troubles switching it on, so it's not just one out of the two switch.
I was also thinking a wiring fault, since the hall way lights were acting up together.. but I will try check the wiring/cables first, replace bulbs and hopefully no signs of water..
Thank you again guys, you lot are great0 -
Found this article from 2011 (things may have moved on) not sure how true it is but a way to check is to remove all incandescent bulbs from the circuit and just try with the LED's0
