Late Appeal

Hi all - apologies if this is answered somewhere but i couldn't find anything on this subject.
I followed the new users post with regards the template appeal online at day 26. But having re-read the original PCN it states appeals must be rec'd within 21 days. I posted my appeal online on day 24. Unsurprisingly i have since rec'd an email from CPM stating the appeal was late and can't be processed. (full text below)
I have now since re'cd a formal demand for an increased charge of £100.
My question is, have i made an error from not reading the 21 day terms on the PCN?
thank you for any advice.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to process your appeal as it has been submitted outside of the required 21-day period.
The Independent Appeals Service provides an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme for disputes of this type. We will engage with, the IAS Non-Standard Appeals Service providing you lodge an appeal to them within 21 days of this rejection.

You have 28 days for BPA members and 21 for IPC members, so you are out of time and must now wait to see if they try court.
For IPC members, the NEWBIES tells you to wait for the NTK, not appeal a windscreen ticket.
"IPC members are different:
In the case of CURRENT IPC AOS MEMBERS ONLY, we now advise to WAIT for a Notice to Keeper to arrive and then challenge once online or by email, as the KEEPER, not driver, using the template appeal for IPC members, as shown below."
Have you complained to your MP yet about this unregulated scam?
What happened when you complained to the landowner/site manager/retail manager?
If you have used your real name as your username, you should ask a board guide to change it.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
Read up on appealing to IPC companies in the newbies FAQ thread
The initial appeal always fails!
Appeals to IAS are futile
Don't waste any money on trying a non standard appeal
You now go into ignore mode
See #4 in the FAQ
Ignore everything except a lbcca or Court correspondence
They have 6 years to start legal proceedings against you
If it comes to this then come back for advice on how to defend this at that time0 -

You need to ask MSE by email to change your user name0
-
To help with that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:Q. How can I change my username?
A. In most circumstances, this is not permitted.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.0
