Income tax

My son has received a letter from hmrc saying that from next April if you live in Wales and pay income tax some of it will be paid to the welsh government. Is this a standard letter being sent to everyone in Wales because me or my partner have not received this letter or is it a mistake that they have sent it to my son

I expect all welsh tax payers will get a letter in due course but logistically they can't do them all at once.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
I thought that might be the case but I was a bit confused by it because he doesn't pay income tax.0

But when/if he starts to pay tax he will have been told.0
