Murcia airport and Europcar beware!

If you are traveling to Murcia Airport after the middle of January please be aware that the current Murcia San Javier Airport is closing permanently on 14th.

A new Murcia Airport is opening about 30 km away on 15th January.

Europcar are still selling car rental but we have been advised that they have not yet made a decision on having a place at the new airport.

    Ah yes, the new Corvera (Murcia) airport. Been in the pipeline for approximately the last 20 years! Most of the low cost airlines have now signed up, it is highly likely that the car rental companies will do the same. IMHO just avoid Goldcar.

    Yes, it was easyjet who told us our flight had been switched.

    A shame that Europcar don't seem to understand that a rental from San Javier is not much use to us......

    Well they will not do much business from the old airport if it is closed:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Lets start at the old airport,it will be a lot warmer than the North East of England which i live in and if the airport is closed it will not be a hard job with plenty of relaxation:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
