Universal Credit is about to be rolled out in my area.
I’m of pension age (b 1951) and get guaranteed pension along with PIP (Valid till 2026)
I’m wondering whether UC will eventually replace these. The thought scares me

Universal Credit is a working age benefit. I am not aware of any plans to extend it to pensioners.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

not at is stands at the moment - if this is the case, you will still have an option of claiming UC or pension credits. This rule is has yet to be enforced. currently, will only be for new claimants once all legacy benefits have been migrated to UC, which would still be a few years0
