car wrongly listed on comparison sites

I recently bought an early Smart car . It's a Passion model with the glass fixed panorama sunroof.
When I insured it on the phone they repeated the details and said it was a cabriolet. I said no it's a fixed roof and it's on the v5 as a Coupe.
I have tried the comparison sites and when you enter the reg number it indeed comes up as a cabriolet.
I believe because of this I may be getting overcharges for insurance, Does anyone know how to get this changed??
When you enter the car details to get quotes what database do they get the info from??

The registration lookup on the comparison sites is purely for convenience. If you take a policy up, then it's your responsibility to make sure it's correct on the policy.


If you know that the registration comes up incorrectly, then enter the details manually, instead of using the registration lookup. If an insurer can't cope with that concept, use another insurer.

Panic over. They have put it on the policy as a hatchback, 2 seats.
I didn't use a comparison site I was just trying it to see what the autocomplete came up as to double check.
I went with my old insurer anyway.
