Insignia 2011 ecoflex fan or whining noise

Hi,

I have vauxhall insignia 2011 ecoflex and i am hearing a whining sound like fan running when i am driving the car for 10 mins, It goes away as soon as I accelerate but come back within few seconds. Does any one has experience the same issue and what would be the cause?

    Probably boost control valve on the front slam panel needs replacing.


    Cheap part and easy to replace yourself.


    I replaced mine just after buying the car @ ~50k miles, now it has appeared again and will need replacing (although I am now on 140k miles, 3 years between).


    Google for one of the forums and search there, very common fault.
