This is my first time here and I really am a bit scared of you all... I have read some of your messages and you all seem to be doing really well!!
I have moved home to my parents (ekk what have I done) and aim to be debt free in a year...
I currently owe: £4000.00 M&S Credit card
£4000.00 Personal Loan (unsecured)
£ 500.00 Cap One
£1000.00 Overdraft
£9500.00 Total
Would be grateful for any money saving tips for Christmas pressies, going out over the festive period....

As it's the Christmas supporters thread! It will hopefully give you a few ideas. Also have a read of MSE Andrea's thread which will explain all about posting and getting the most out of the board.

Hi there
There is anothe board on here that is dedicated to special occasions and they have some fantastic ideas on how to give presents on very little money.
I don't know what to advise on the going out. I tend to set myself a going out budget of £50 per month and once it's gone that's it. Whilst I know that this isn't a huge amount of money and in my spendthift days I could easily spend more than this in one night, many on here don't have this luxury so I think I am lucky.
Can you pick one function/do to go to and say no to the others? Or offer to be a taxi service to others in exchange for soft drinks?Debt at LBM (March 2006): £30,000
