I sincerely doubt it, however you will need to provide more details so more experienced forum-goers could assist you. What stage is your 'unpaid loan' at? Have you just defaulted on a payment? Is there a judgement (being) made against you? What is the purpose for leaving the country? Holiday or permanent? I find it hugely unlikely airports will check your credit file.Know what you don't0

Absolutely, categorically, NO, you can owe millions, you can have countless county court judgements, been chased by every bailiff and debt collector under the sun, as long as no criminality is involved, for example fraud, its entirely a civil matter.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. OP may be from a different country originally. I remember seeing big queues at Muscat (Oman) airport of people paying speeding fines etc - no leaving the country if you owe anything.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans
