Interested in any experience anyone has of a 3 door car and getting a baby and baby seat in the back?

yeah, did it for about a month - then got rid and got something different. Wife has never forgiven me - she loved that child....

Seriously though it probably depends on the car. This was a 3 door frontera and we struggled to get the car seat into the back and clip it in. Bought a 5 door freelander instead and never looked back.0 -
I've seen plenty of people doing it so it's definitely possible, doesn't look fun though. What's the car?0

It's perfectly doable, but 4 kids later, we preferred 5 door.
If you can switch any front air bags off, you could let passengers jump in the back.0 -
We have a KA. Its no problem really. Its a bit easier now baby is 2 and a bit he can climb in on his own. Just be careful not to bonk their head when lifitng them in!0

I spent 3 years with a ford fiesta 3 door with twins. was a bit of a pain the backside but it becomes normal after a while, you do need to be mindful of the type of carseat you buy as too big the belt wont wrap around rearward facing car seats.0

Summary:doable but not ideal.0

Was considering a DS3
What about if you add in the extra complexity of parking upwards on a hill normally (ie the front seat fighting gravity too!)0 -
Ds3's have the longest doors (and therefore wide opening) I've ever encountered. If you have enough room to utilise them in your chosen parking spots is another matter.stphnstevey wrote: »Was considering a DS3
