Credit check alert - ONLY

Do you know where I can subscribe to getting credit check alerts - and nothing else?
I already subscribe to Experian/CreditExpert who have just hiked the charge from £9.99pm to £14.00pm (phew - that's up 33%!!! What a rip-off).
Experian's main business is checking your credit rating - with a bit of credit check alerting on the side. But I only want to get an alert if anyone does a credit check on me. I.e. for identity theft security alerts.
Any suggestions?

Or you could just use the free services and check yourself as often as you like for FREE!!!Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Why do you need it?
Are the free monthly offerings not enough?
Noddle now updates every 7 days and GiffGaff updates everytime you login. Both provide CallCredit/TransUnion data.0 -
Eeeek, I didn't know about free services for credit check alerts! Thanks. I'll check them out!:T
I need this for identity theft alerts i.e. if someone out there is pretending to be me it will show up as a credit check.
I guess Noddle and GiffGaff are pull services. I only expect a legitimate credit check every 12 months or so... So are there any push services i.e. that will sit there watching, and alert me if/when a credit check occurs?0 -
Just login once a week, once a month if you like or more often all for free.0

I got access to Noddle Alerts for free when I took out a Tesco Bank credit card earlier in the year. You get alerts when changes are made to your credit file, but they are usually a few days delayed. Since Noddle updates weekly I don't really see the point of it since you still have to log in to see the alert anyway, and you can check your report while you're at it.
Anything you have to pay for I would generally recommend you stay clear of. You can access your reports monthly for free using MSE Credit club (Experian), Noddle (CallCredit/TransUnion) and Clearscore (Equifax), which for the vast majority of people will allow you to spot anything out of the ordinary.0
