Barclaycard Freedom Rewards - discontinued?

Have Barclaycard pulled their Freedom Rewards card now?

It doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore and in its place seems to be a Platinum Cashback Plus card offering 0.25% cashback until 31st August 2023 :

Does this mean people currently using a Freedom card will keep it or will it be retired/replaced?

I don't think so. My OH has a Freedom Rewards card and her latest statement still shows her points total.

Yes - I still see the points on my statement and I am still earning points and can login to the Freedom website to redeem them etc.

It's just not a card that's available on their website anymore and wondered if it was discontinued or replaced/being phased out

I'm not surprised it was binned off. I think 0.25% cashback is actually a better deal for everything except supermarkets and fuel...

Well I just tried asking Barclaycard on fb and they didn't really answer so I wouldn't be surprised if I get a message soon as I have this card myself

Update from yesterday's post, received a message this morning saying that it is not available to new applicants and they are not sure if it will be back again soon as they have no further information at this point

To ressurect an old post; I aw this message when logging into my Barclaycard account this morning:

Our Freedom Rewards cards have a new look
We’re refreshing the design of our Freedom Rewards credit cards.

We’ve not made any other changes, and you don’t need to take any action. You’ll receive a new Freedom Rewards card with the updated design when your current card expires, or when it needs to be replaced.

Also when I added my FR card to my Apple Pay on a new phone, the card design changed from the old white and yellow design to a purple colour card - which isn't even shown on their website (just silver/grey for the Platinum cards and blue for the Initial/Forward card).
