Sugarbaby - I have told you before that I lived near to Brockwell park as a kid. I lived there during the riot of 1981. I remember seeing the crowds and the fights with the protesters and the police.

It is sad that society is still racist, even though I do think Britain is on the whole fairly tolerant, compared to the US particularly. My first two boyfriends were mixed race and we used to get some stares and comments from people on the street back then.

My brothers last girlfriend was an Asian Muslim and she got a ridiculous amount of verbal abuse on the streets. Shocking. We have a long way to go as human beings.

Britain is NOT tolerant. 

We will have to agree to disagree. I consider us one of the most tolerant nations in the world. I feel very lucky to be born here.

Today's champagne moment - the latest batch of my 50p per pack seedlings are coming on well and enjoying some dappled sunshine today......and yep, I need to top up those pots with more compost, lol!

I keep getting a nice surprise each month when my two magazines arrive. I keep forgetting I ordered a subscription.  Definite champagne moment.

My Champagne moment today was participating in a music quiz with my son and daughter. I was always going to lose, as even when I recognize a song, I cannot usually remember the actual title of a song or the artist/s who are singing the song.

I managed to get a measly 9 points out of a possible 60 points.   Ah well, at least I had fun with my children again  

My son officially has no more university lessons online, so he will be coming home for at least 2 weeks for a visit with my daughter and I. I am really looking forward to him being at home for a while  

Candygirl I used to have a subscription to SHE magazine. I loved SHE, so I was really disappointed when it went out of circulation. I then transferred my subscription to RED magazine for a few months before I stopped my subscription.
