Are you the only employee doing your work? If there are others are they full or part time and what are they paid/have they had rises in the last 11 years?
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

  • Theoretica, unfortunately for me, I’m the only existing employee from the old firm that is still working there. When my boss bought the firm
In 2015 she brought all her own staff with her and the existing staff have over the years, left. And I am the only original staff member left.
I have in fact been there longer than anyone but have no former colleagues to potentially back me up although I have absolutely no reason to lie to her!

I have to say they are fairly notorious for 'trying it on' (putting it charitably), but ...

You're asking for a payment of underpaid salary dating back several years, at a time when she's trying to make you redundant. I'm not saying you ARE lying but that's a very good reason to increase the salary on which any redundancy will be calculated ...

And although it is your employer's responsibility to pay you correctly, it is also your (any employee's) responsibility to check, and especially after any change has been made. Mistakes happen, but they can't be corrected if they're not noticed.
