Hi Beanielou, and IMO so is SW lasagne. So watery, like soup. Yuk.
Have you tried any of the other SW meals, all recommendations welcome.
Well out last night on our date night, saw a comedian and it was great. Didn't quite make the drinkies we planned because I was late home from work to find that my DH and 2xDD had not put the jacket potatoes in the oven. So we drove to the theatre to get parked etc. and grabbed a Starbucks panini and a hot drink. £14.13 unplanned spend right there.
Additional spends for yesterday £1.09 on skimmed milk, £3.10 on a return tea/coffee for some work colleagues, one bought the first round.
Not quite what I planned but hoping for a better day today managing random spends.
That said it is food shopping day tonight, there's work to do on menu planning and store cupboard checks but hoping to be done on dusted and back for Children in Need!! Note to self....don't work late.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
The only SW meal I enjoy is the cottage pie which has a sweet potato mash.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Thanks Beanielou, I have a look next time I'm in Iceland
So, hectic work day yesterday, but pleased to report a NSD whilst working. I feel this is a massive step forward as whilst coffees have been purchased I have taken my breakfast and lunch with me all week.
I'm keen to keep planning on hope this can continue so hope to cook tomorrow.
As planned i went to Lid! on my way home from work to food shop Spent £45.28, but didn't get everything I needed. Popped to a shop today, but still failed to get everything but a further £2.60 spent. Quite hopeful with any top up required this week I can keep below £60. Which is still £10 below last week's spend. So £12.12 still available, but may get a saving!
Spent the morning today supporting my DD1 sport activity, it was freezing. We've had such mild weather so far this year it was a real shock. I was properly layered up but too much standing around and I'm only just feeling warmer now.
Managed to call N@tionwide for an update on the remortgage as I was originally advised I would hear by the end of this week at the latest. Apparently the application was pulled for an audit check which has delayed the application as it cannot be worked on whilst In audit. I fully understand the need to audit and fully support it, but I don't support a lack of communication. I will try and wait patiently for a reply now expected next week, but poor communication is not impressive. Off my soap box now, :rotfl:
Have a good evening everyone.:)

Lovely day today, spent 1:1 time with my DD2 and we went for a wander around an area we rarely visit, close to the country close to the town. She is keen to make a wreath for Christmas and after looking at the costs of buying one, it was decided we would take a walk around some woodland and see if we can come up with ingredients to make one. Not sure how successful this will be but proud to make a different decision.
Spent approx £11 today whilst we were out, approx £6.00 on drinks/coffees and £5.00 on the items missing from the food shop on friday. Still missing a couple of food items, but hey ho I'm going to wing it.
Probably could have avoided the drinks spend, but thoroughly enjoyed the 1:1 time and we took snacks with us so only purchased drinks, another small step in the right direction.
Good day food planning, soaked oats prepared for breakfast and chicken goulash and beef hotpot prepared and in the fridge for this week dinner. It's the only to stay on top of Slimming world and the funds.
Busy week this week, hectic work schedule, evening sports clubs most nights, hair dressers for cut and removal of streaks, (always love this as she's a great friend and I love the catch up time) followed by Friday off for DD1 birthday. Friday plans yet to be confirmed, but spends have been budgeted for.
Good luck for the week everyone.

Yay NSD today...:j
Hectic work day, but all coffees made from everything I took from home. Still went for a walk at lunch time for some fresh air and enjoyed the sunshine with a somewhat chilly wind.
Homemade soup for lunch and just waiting for my beef hot pot to warm up following sports club taxi services.
Feel happy everything went to plan, but starting to notice Amazon black Friday offers. There are things on the list to buy for Christmas, but really don't want to spend....this NSD is getting is obsessive.:rotfl:0 -
New day, but realised today will not be a NSD..:(
Today is a working lunch, but we will be required to pay our own. Also, tonight I'm meeting up with some other sports club taxi mums for coffee, whilst our darlings do what they do. Always a nice relaxing time, but it's my turn to pay.
My aim for the day is too keep spend limited to the above and not stray off plan. Breakfast and fruit are prepared for the day and pizza for everyone else and homemade veg soup for me tonight if I'm hungry!I
Have a good day. MP0 -
Busy busy week and I've properly slipped back into some old ways.:(
Plan for the working lunch went well. Spent limitedly, but decided I would go for the cheapest food option, which in turn meant I didn't stick to my Slimming world journey.
The following day I met a friend for lunch. I was treated to lunch, but again didn't choose the best option for me, and struggled with tummy ache and the knowledge that I didn't eat as healthy as I could have. It was a late work day so by the time it was sports club taxi time a takeaway was the least stressful for all of us.
By Thursday, I felt bloated but still started with coffee and a pastry for breakfast, which blew my spend plans and my SW journey. The day just got progressively worse as I munched crisps and biscuits. I rallied with a chicken egg fried rice for tea, but had some more biscuits......:(:(
Today was my DD1 birthday:T, we were both off work and went for breakfast and a wander around the city centre shops as planned. I've been much healthier today and reminded myself that I have lost just under 4 stone and can fit in a size 12, as opposed to a 20. My DD1 has lost the same amount of weight and to walk into any shop and find things that fit us is so much fun. We have needed to spend money on clothes to wear but that's because our clothes are just to big :rotfl::T:j
Time away from work / the rat race is such a great time to reflect on what's important.
I feel like I can get back on my spend and weight loss journey again tomorrow and will be up to re fresh my ways. It's a Xmas party day for DD2 and morning sports activities outside. Sunday will be family lunch to celebrate DD1birthday, only lunch time pizza and salad but it works well with 14 of us.:)
So onwards and upwards, or downloads in the weightloss stakes, its time to get back ontrack.
Goods news....the re mortgage offer has been received by email :j:j:j just need to agree the completion date and complete the reorganisation of the bank accounts.
Have a good weekend everyone.MP0 -
So many things in your diary resonate with me. Weight loss, take aways for convenience, food shopping escalating and the never ending coffee struggle!! I seem to spend a lot of time & money going for coffee with family & friends... and inevitably buns to go alongside my coffee, which doesn’t help the purse or my waist line!0
