MBNA Limit increases

Do MBNA carry out a hard search when a limit increase is requested ? on my app this morning there was a request a limit increase link on it which i haven't had before so i assumed they were offering to increase my limit but it states
"by submitting this request, you authorise us to search the files of any cra we require to help us make a decision on increasing your credit"

Iv'e not had an increase from them yet but my other cards offer to increase my limits iv'e not had to request one.

I’ve used the option a few times and they haven’t done a hard search.

I guess they have to say it just in case they do decide to do a search.

my tesco card and nationwide card did the same - never aw any hard searched on any of the CRAs

I asked for a 1k increase and they're thinking about it , probably should have asked for £500 but my limit is only £1500 and the 0% offers are not worth taking up on such a small amount.
