Feel like we’ve made a mistake, absolute house of horrors, the £££ we’ve got to spend on it wouldn’t be far off fees!

Only been in it 8 months, happy to cut losses (wouldn’t be any!) and look to buy again.

Anyone brought, sold and brought again within 12 months?

Yes, we did 30 years ago.

After 4 years in our first house we moved, I hated the new house almost immediately and for reasons which we were very silly not to have picked up and thought about before we bought it: very overlooked garden with a walkway behind it and a kitchen that was simply too small to be workable for a family.

We had let the location of the house sway us too much.

We could have waited and bought a better house in the same location, but we didn't. So we sold it after nine months and moved to where we still live and love. The location is better, the house had more potential and the garden is completely private.

Cut your losses and go for it.

Yes I'm in same position, having been in previous home 25years, down sized to what was supposed to be our dream home. After initial excitement of moving etc realised it didn't suit us at all. Really unhappy but continued to renovate to our liking (but got no pleasure from this, became a chore) so six months on and still not settled decided to sell. Fingers crossed we will moving out soon, offer accepted early days I know but can't wait to get out.

Also you started a PGCE then quit. Your son did the same thing. You started at Tesco then quit. When you bought your house 4 people withdrew their offers on your old house.

I think someone needs to test the water where you live, there seems to be seems to be something causing chronic indecision in your local area?

I wouldn't entertain the idea. People don't just cave in because there are a few expensive things wrong with a house; there must be something much more serious than that to cause such a stupendous volte-face.

If what jonnygee gleaned from your earlier posts is true, there's something fundamentally wrong, but it's not the house.
