Help... I had a riding accident and suffered a head injury 29 August 2018 and am suffering various health problems and been unable to drive since. My daughter visited me and used my car, she is a named & insured driver, to go into Doncaster town centre to get me a few things on 30/10/18 and parked in B&M car park in the city centre that used to have a 2 hour parking limit.
Today I received a parking fine in the post for £90, reduced to £50 if paid within 14 days, to say that the car stayed over the now 1 hour 30 minute limit!!! This has never happened to me before, what do I do I really don't want to pay this and I know I delayed her as I called her when she was in the car whilst parked as I was confused and couldn't remember if I had asked her to get something for me... HELP!!!

name the PPC first as you have omitted it
then read and follow the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, post #1 for now, appealing it as keeper using the blue text template
no naming the driver
and complain LOUDLY to the landowner and get it cancelled asap0 -
It is not a fine, it is an invoice for an alleged breach of contract. They think that your actions have so damaged them that they need £100 to put the matter right. It is a scam.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.
Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business in the not too distant future. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

I went on their website to appeal the charge but the system locked me out and said I have to wait 24 hours... Is this normal practice, I'm aware I have only limited time to appeal, never had one before, worried!!!0
