Euro Car Parks ticket for a Company vehicle

I've read other threads and can't find any specific answer for this.
Some bloke got a Euro Car Parks charge notice for overstaying in a Sainsbury's car park. They did overstay, accidentally, but they overstayed.
He went to pay the machine a few quid for overstaying the two hour limit and discovered at that point it was a £70 charge!
So he's blocking (not on purpose) the car park exit and the on-site warden comes over and the man refuses to pay. Warden says he has to issue a ticket then.
Warden motions him to move the vehicle alongside (not in) other parking spaces, puts the ticket on the screen, takes photos, then lets him out the car park.
Down the road after he's calmed down a bit he notices in the 'breach of terms and conditions' warden has put: " Your vehicle was parked in a no parking area". This is not true. He was parked neatly in one of the numerous bays until he made for the exit.
He goes back and confronts the warden about this saying he knows full well this was not the reason why he incurred the charge and ask him several times to change the ticket. Warden repeatedly says he has filled the ticket out exactly as he was supposed to and says he can argue this with the company.
Now here's the thing. He was driving a 'company van' and in his job any ticket not issued on the van windscreen eventually comes to him via the vehicle leasing and employers who don't dispute or challenge any parking/traffic fine but pay them up front which is then deducted from his pay by his employers.
In short, although he's willing to ignore the charge 'ECP' will most likely get paid by the leasing company up front so he doesn't get the chance to ignore the charge.
He has two weeks to pay £40 or possibly pay the full £70 later via the leasing company. Any way out of this or is it just less hassle for him to cough up £40 now?

Don't get you? You mean whose car park etc?0

No. Don't post talking about who parked the car (not 'me' or 'I'), as the NEWBIES FAQS thread tells you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Read this thread posted about half an hour before you started your thread:Don't get you? You mean whose car park etc?

Should give you an idea about what Castle said.
We really cannot be posting the same thing time after time.
Please look around at other threads.0 -
I'm not sure that thread answers the specific point above which is that when the vehicle involved is a 'company vehicle' the procedure is not the same as for an individual in their own vehicle.
It's not between just you and ECP with a company vehicle. With a company vehicle the leasing company and your employers can get involved without knowing or even caring that you the driver/keeper intends to ignore the charge.
The leasing company and your employers don't want to get involved in any sort of dispute and might even be against it.0 -
It wasn't intended to address that point.0

That's why you follow the guidance in post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread you take those other players out of the game. The leasing company and your employers don't want to get involved in any sort of dispute and might even be against it.
Hire/lease cars are discussed towards the end of that post.0 -
But that's the point of the thread that needs clarifying. Otherwise I wouldn't post as the other threads give enough direction for me to follow the advice in the case of me using my own vehicle.0
