Has anyone had any success with a ppi claim with a nationwide mortgage. I have ignored all ppi claims because I never thought I had it, never needed it. I gave it to one firm cold calling and they came back telling me my ex husband and I had ppi with the nationwide mortgage we took out in 1993!! I had no idea. I think we may have used a broker at the solicitor's firm who were doing the conveyancing but I can't recall it was so long ago. has anyone had any success with nationwide?

Yes they have but most fail.and they came back telling me my ex husband and I had ppi with the nationwide mortgage we took out in 1993!
But did you actually pay anything?
Back then, Nationwide offered it for free for the first 12 months and gave you the choice to continue it after 12 months if you wished. If you didnt, then you never paid any premiums. That is classed as having PPI even though you didnt pay for it.
Or it could be the claims company is making it up. Especially when......I think we may have used a broker at the solicitor's firm who were doing the conveyancing but I can't recall it was so long ago.
