MSE Energy Club Switch
Options
Has anyone had problems switching to the new British Gas tariff via the mse energy club? I applied on 17 October and still haven't had confirmation of the switch. I'm with Sainsburys and British Gas have access to all my details. They are saying mse energy club haven't sent a request to swap, mse are saying they have and I am stuck in the middle. I've emailed mse again but had no reply.

If you have already contacted MSE who have confirmed your application has been sent to BG then:
1. They have
2. Asking the same question again would only result at best in the same reply, so they are probably not bothering to send a duplicate response
The fact the person you have contacted at the supplier denies all knowledge is not surprising, as explained in the MSE CEC FAQsI've called the supplier and it knows nothing about the switch
This doesn't mean your switch isn't in progress. We're finding more and more that suppliers' call centres don't have up-to-date information about switches (or they say they don't)....0 -
1. They have also both said that I should have heard something by now if the switch was going ahead.
2. If you are told you will hear something in a few days, you are going to ask the question again after a week.0 -
I was with BG and Sainsburys Energy for a few years, switched 2 years ago to Affect Energy and am more than happy with them, have a look! They ask for monthly meter readings by email then produce a monthly statement a few days later, they also watch your consumption compared to your monthly DD, recently emailed to say they were reducing my DD by £7pm as a result!0
