Payment break plan

Hi
I put in a claim for unsold payment break plan(pbp). I also wrote to a company that was taken over by this company which I also had pbp with. After 8 weeks I had no response so I wrote a chase letter and now have had a response. The response advises that it has failed to contact it's customers in regards to it's debts and offered £75 inconvience payment and to provided bank details with in 30 days. No mention of my claim, no mention of it and I feel I'm being ignored. Do I write back or do I go to the ombud sman after writing twice and my concerns not addressed?
