Variable Speed gantry-mounted cameras on M42

Today I got flashed today at M42 near the Birmingham Airport Junction. The sign was showing 50 in red circle and I was doing 45 m/h. As soon as I passed under the sign I saw flash (from behind).

The speed was changing so often 50-60-40-50 with in seconds. I am just assuming that as soon as I passed under the sign it might have changed to 40 and hence it flashed. Though I havent seen it changing to 40.

Am I likely to receive a ticket? This seems unfair.

Thanks

I think what you should do now is just wait till you hear anything from the force area if they have anything to allege you were speeding with.

You should hear in 14 days if your the registered keeper and the details on the V5C is correct to your current address you can check all your details are correct and updated NOW on V5C and Licence so that theres no nasty suprises later on IF there is a pending ticket.

If not it will go to the RK who will name you and has 28days to name you, then you will get your NIP but will arrive later than the 14 day period.

Till then we can discuss the what iffs and can they's but it would just pretty much be scaremongering opinions to fill your mind and have you panick for weeks and the end result maybe absolutely nothing come of it.

Sit back and wait if you get a NIP come back and we can go through it.

You get quite bright flashes off a few of the gantry on that section of the M42 at night, that are not related to the cameras.

There is grace period after the speed limit lowers before it is enforced so you cannot be caught out by the limit decreasing as you pass the gantry.
