Moving krone in a polish currency acc.

I have a Polish Girlfriend who worked in Norway for a while and set up a Polish currency account to receive her Krone a few years ago. She would now like to transfer the money to the UK where she has now resided for the last 2 years. Currency transfers, polish tax seem to be a minefield - Can anyone suggest the simplest/cheapest way to move this money(about £5k) to the UK by setting up an account for her in the UK or me (I'm a full British resident)
Any help would be appreciated

Make the payment to an account in the uk.

I guess she received her salary in Krona (SEK) which was translated to Polish currency (PLN) straight away, so you are really moving Polish currency to British currency. The best solution would be to ask your girlfriend to set up a Revolut account (app based) in her name which would be in GBP, then add a Polish currency Revolut sub-account and send the money from Polish bank to this Revolut Polish currency sub-account. Then you can exchange from PLN to GBP at almost perfect market rate via Revolut app, just do not do it during weekend as they add 1% mark-up, when Mon-Fri it is free. Finally withdraw from GBP Revolut account to any GBP bank account in UK.0

Revolut is the best solution, as above. There is likely to be a charge by the bank with the PLN account, especially if it's in Norway (not clear) to send the PLN to Revolut's Lloyds account. No fee by Revolut on conversion of up to £5/mth, 0.5% thereafter.
TransferWise Borderless could be used in a similar way, interbank rate with 0.5%(?) fee.Evolution, not revolution0 -

I think you mean NOK Norwegian Krone. SEK is Swedish Krona;).0 -
