Sainsburys Pet Insurance - Help/Advice/Needed

I have a problem where Sainsburys Pet Insurance is denying I requested a removal of the auto-renewal on my Direct Debit and have continued to bill me. I moved away from them and purchased another policy from Direct Line as it was far cheaper than Sainsburys Bank. I have never claimed against the policy and I did not receive my renewal documents via the post or by email, I have no confirmation or proof this policy was renewed. I've requested a refund which they have denied and I've been referred to the resolution team who have not contacted me yet.

I'm looking for any advice or guidance the MSE Forum can provide me.

Whenever you are not happy with your insurance company the route to go down is a complaint in line with their complaints procedure

Then if you are not happy with the reply or they ignore you for 8 weeks you can escalate to the FOS for their adjudication at no cost to you

If you paid via direct debit from your bank (Not from your card) you can claim an instant refund under the "Direct Debit Guarantee" scheme via your bank

Are you certain you followed the correct steps to cancel the policy with Sainsbury's? I know you requested the auto-renewal to be removed, but you don't say you "cancelled" the policy.
