    Yes, me too! Frustrating! I'm going to suggest a 50/50 split of the cost of indemnity on the wall, if they come back and challenge on this.
    If you submit a request to the council, it will no longer be possible to buy an indemnity policy. Don't do that without your solicitor's advice.
    Excellent advice, I would NOT have known that! Luckily, I've not contacted the local council in regards to the partition wall or the windows.

    We're paying £20 for a policy to cover patio doors, no fuss. Previous posters are right, just don't contact the council, let your solicitor handle it.
