Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 13 - Post your finds here

I had an interesting thing happen in Boots last weekend - I had posted earlier this month about having bought lots of stuff at the last Christmas Shopping Evening, but that my ever-helpful mother-in-law had duplicated one of the gifts I'd bought - a set of hair straighteners which I was going to give to my daughter - which she bought and gave to her for her birthday this month instetad. Grr.
Well, I decided to see what would happen to my bonus points etc if I took the straighteners back (and I was prepared to swap them for something of an equal value if I was in danger of losing my extra points). I ended up taking them in to a different (smaller) store and not the one I'd originally bought them from, but I had my receipt so thought it would be okay.
The SA assured me that it was no problem in having them refunded as they were unopened and I had the receipt ..... and when she scanned the barcode on the box to refund my money it came up as a refund of £69.98. Except I had bought them in the larger Boots as a special half price offer of £34.99
I did point out the mistake to the SA because I could not in all honesty have just stood there and allowed her to refund me twice what I'd paid for the straighteners, but I was very very surprised! The SA seemed completely unbothered, so I wished afterwards I'd maybe kept quiet.0 -
Can anyone tell me if I can use these vouchers for points on line I do not have a Boots near me but would love to start shopping there more on line thanks Taffy0

If you want a cheaper alternative to P&P try Boots Time Delay Wrinkle Reducing Night Serum currently on offer at £6.50. Some months ago someone on here pointed out that the ingredients were identical to P&P. It has a slight fragrance whereas P&P has none.
There are quite a few offers in Time Delay range at the moment and it seems to mirror the No 7 range. I'm currently trying the firming moisturisers (having just used the No7 uplifting moisturisers).I've also tried the Rejuvenating Day Moisturiser SPF15 which was lovely and light with a nice fragrance.
The No7 range is very nice but I'm not completely convinced its worth the extra.
I love the TD range and was in wrinkly heaven when Mr B was doing his £5 TD vouchers. I have a drawer full, still!
The TD firming moisturiser is amazing, and much better than anything else, anywhere - I don't rate P+P on my skin.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I think I might be the first person who posted the success of getting 3,000 points with Dreamland offer here. See my post in post no. 595. However, I copied it here for easy reading. It did work for me!!! Getting £29.99 dreamland for free on Christmas shopping night.
I used these vouchers together:
£1 off healthcare product
1,000 points from Mag
1,000 points from ACM
1,000 points from healthcare.
Be careful if you want to use them all together. What I did was buying other stuff (small items) which I had ACM vouchers for extra points. So my transaction of more than 10 items with several vouchers would not draw attention from SA. I mixed dreamland vouchers with other 8 vouchers. So that transction I handed more than 10 vouchers together.
Another tip is if you want to use several vouchers, a Christmas shopping night is good. Because there are several temp staff, who would not care so much on what bargain you have.
Sorry didn't post earlier, as I thought other people did it already. I was happy with my 2 Clarins goodies bags -- more than Dreamland offer. Because I can try such expensive products free for myself, while I keep the dreamland for my brother's present.

Apologies if someone has asked this already but.....
Can someone explain why there is a sign up in the B-o-T store saying *No no 7 GWP wyb the No 7 christmas gifts* and yet, if you add the gifts on .com then it automatically adds you the GWP in?
So are you entitled to one or not?

I bought the bodycare giftset (for myself actually) and am in 2 minds whether to phone CS about this but figured i'd ask if anyone else has encountered the same problem
It is a GLITCH on the .com site that is allowing this - "green parcel" items are NOT MEANT to get the free gift.
In store the till beeps and alerts the checkout operator that the "green parcel" items are not valid for getting the free gift.0 -
I got a good result today....
Phoned CS to ask which local stores are stocking stairgates and was told a tiny one in Maldon had one.... turned out it was a .com return. The one I'd asked CS to search for was a £19.99 metal one... the one they located was a £29.99 wood+metal one  However the Manager offered it to us for £20 so she could get rid :j I was then rather cheeky and used my 10% friends and family voucher so paid £18 for a £29.99 stairgate :j
Wins since September 2011: Wedding (Worth £3500) :j Bridesmaids Headpiece (Worth £40) National Wedding Show VIP tickets (Worth £70) £100 Shopping vouchers...0 -
Hi all
Does any1 know if any of the boots in or around milton keynes stock the nintendo ds??
got enough points for 1 now and would like 1 for one for my little boy.
thanx in advance!!
Hi
Annoyingly, none of the stores are stocking these anymore.
CS said that they are discontinued in stores so this means you cannot buy with points.
