  • Overheard the manager on Saturday at my local giving instructions re: the toy sale - not sure if this is universal but worth a heads up.

Apparently some of the toys are not going to be restocked and these will stay in the sale, possibly going to 75% and 90% if any are left.

BUT...........lots are being carried over as existing stock, and these are coming out of the sale this week. She was putting dots on SELs to distinguish these, and moving the toys into 2 seperate sections.

So if you are wanting any toys, now might be the time rather than waiting for further reductions.

    HTHS;)
  • Some parenting coupons are expiring today - just been clearing mine out!

    HTHS;)
  • CrazyPoshGal - might it be time for a new thread? Now over 100 pages on this one  Could tie in to new offers which should be starting Friday (info from .com - current offers end Thursday 3rd)?

    Big thanks ;)

OK here goes...my name is Jamtart and I am a makeup and toiletries - a - holic.

I have a bottom drawer full of items that I have been stockpiling since last January. I have also got a neat £125 on my Boots card.

I stockpile things, then change my mind after a few bottles and decide I don't like them any more. Hence a row full of Sanctuary bubble baths. I have NO MORE ROOM.

I am officially NOT BUYING ANYTHING FOR MYSELF in Boots/Avon/Superdrug until a good chunk of the drawer has been cleared out.

(unless it is an exceptional deal!)

What do you think about stockpiling stuff? Its great if you get it on offer and extra points etc, and fine if you dont go off it - but if you go off the stuff then has it been worth buying it on offer??

(i know its not exactly boots related but they done seem to have a "Makeup and Toiletry free wannabe board!!!!!!!)

    You're not alone!;)

Between Bootsing and the Tesco H&B I'm stocked to the gills on a whole host of items.

An example - I think I have about 20 packs of time delay wipes tucked away, (skincare vouchers) plus a few (18) bottles of mouthwash (points glitch), plus a few more besides. :shhh:

Now - off to the garage for the yoga mats and weights (points glitch) which now will come in handy after the chocolate reindeer episode of 2007 :EasterBun

    ;)

:rotfl: Made me laugh as I gave up chocolate for 5 weeks up to Christmas as I had munched my way through four of the chocolate reindeers I had bought for kids friends stocking fillers. Lost 6 lbs tho! Don't have a Tesco near me so don't know abt any glitches there. Do tell what the episode was if you can!
There are three ways to get something done; do it yourself, hire someone or forbid your kids to do it.

God I'm glad it's not just me!!!! Over the last 2 days I have cleared out all my drawers and cupboards of toiletries so that I can list exactly what I've got and sort them in some sort of order - my study looks like Boots/Avon/Superdrug at the moment and it was a bit scary when I saw I'd got 42 bottles of showergel!!

One of my new yr resolutions is not to buy ANY more toiletries. DH thinks I have OCD about it but the final straw was when I realised the amount of ££ I've spent this year could have paid for a ski holiday (£700:o )!!

You're right, I also spent quite a lot at Boots (and avon) in 2007. I'd like to think it was all bargains!! but I know some were not. I also think I have a bit of OCD... some times I got to sleep stressing about the order I am going to make the next day... and some times even I order, even though I am almost sure the promotion is going to be better in a few days.
Nonetheless, I've been able to "get rid" of most of my stock at Christmas as presents, so it was not all bad. And I smell better and my skin looks better than it did a year ago!! :rotfl:

Happy 2008 everyone, all the best with all the new (real) babies! and bring back the glitches/ freebies in 2008, we deserve some GOOD glitches!! (If I had to choose the 342+241+£5voucher in N7 or the sanctuary glitches from early 2007, or the £5 skincare voucher from Sept 2007. Those were the good old days!!)
  • the toy section was being cleared in my store on saturday relocated to one small area of the store, mite have to check out reductions

does anyone know if i can take a toy back without a reciept??
, i bought a thomas post office loader in november, we have just set it up and i thought it was complete pants, my dd keeps putting the small balls in her mouth too!

Hi all-Happy new year& happy bootsing 2008 in advance as i won't be online for a couple of days now -am moving in today to my new home and am proud to inform you all that it is full of Boots stuff instead of much furniture at the moment.I still have lots of last years giftsets and toiletries aswell as gllitch stuff from this year and about a ton of no7 makeup which i have hidden around the house-spare room, shed, loft and 2 airing cupboards.I might take pictures today to show you all.May get bankrupt if this bootsing carries on but at least I will smell nice and have lovely skin & teeth-If things get really bad then I can picture bailiffs and debt collecters carrying away stashes of boots stuff(lol).Good luck for 2008 everybody!
